Nikki Ourso Howell is a Speech Language Pathologist at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She received her Masters degree from New York University in 2009. The majority of her career has focused on the adult brain injured population within inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. Nikki has been trained in multiple modalities for treating speech and swallowing including Kinesio Tape, myofascial release, Vital Stim Plus, and Lee Silverman Voice Technique. She has conducted research studies on attention deficits due to Parkinson's disease and has presented numerous times to clinicians, medical personnel, and researchers on varied topics related to speech, language and swallowing disorders within the adult population. Nikki joined the MTS team at OAKMH in 2018 and works with both inpatients and outpatients.
